How does Redemption Work?
First, give your offer a code
When you create an offer, you select if it is an In-store or Online offer. You also can specify the upc code, qr code or online code for the offer. Keepity has advanced support to allow you to specify "dynamic" or "static" upc codes. Dynamic upc codes are specified to provide a unique code to every consumer who KEEPs the offer. Dynamic upc codes can be of type text, number,ean8,ean13,code128. Static codes are specified when you want the offer to have a single code for all the consumers who KEEP it. Static codes also support, text, number, ean8,ean13,code128 and QR codes. The consumer will see the offer and KEEP it. When they KEEP, the KEEP button changes to a REDEEM button and the offer is saved in their database, under your business name and logo.
Redeem an In-store offer using mobile
If the consumer uses their mobile phone, they simply select the Redeem button and the code of the offer is exposed. The consumer then shows the code to the clerk who can either scan it, if its a QR code, or manually enter the code into the point-of-sale. If you have specified a limit on the offer, the consumer will not be able to redeem the offer again.
Redeem an In-store offer by printing
If the consumer is on their desktop, they simply select the Redeem button and the offer with the UPC code exposed is printed. The consumer then brings the printout into the store. If you choose to allow printouts, you need to understand that the limit-per-customer cannot be controlled because the customer can photocopy the offer. However, you can easily place a "dynamic" UPC code on the offer, and track if a consumer tries to use it more than once.
Redeem an Online offer
Whether the consumer is on desktop or mobile, they simply select the Redeem button which exposes the online-shopping code. There is an additional button called "Shop Now" that will take them directly to your shopping site where they can use the code.
